Airtel 3G Services Now Available in Karnataka by March 2011
Airtel Launched 3G Services in Bangalore, Karnataka and will be Pan India by March 2011. Airtel also revealed a couple of their added 3G services which includes online gaming, live Video streaming, Movies on demand, Songs download and live TV broadcast.
Airtel unveiled tariff plans, 3G services and a new wireless 3G dongle.
Airtel 3G Tariff Plans
The main 3G plan from Airtel has a basic monthly rental of Rs. 650 which offers a user 1. 25GB of data use. If a user crosses that data limit, then they priced Rs. 10 per 1024Kb of use till the bill actually reaches Rs. 2, 000. At that point the service will be stopped so that a user will never have to pay more than a particular amount but the speed is also brought down to 128kbps. Airtel also said that the network is capable of speeds up to 21MBps but there was no talk about practical speeds that users can expect on a usual basis.
Together with the primary plan, Airtel is also giving ‘sachet packs’, basically time bound 3G packs obtainable for smaller denominations such as Rs. 10, Rs. 45, Rs. 60, Rs. 200, Rs. 450 and Rs. 750.
