Blogger Basics Part 1 :-

First of all, go to this link : http://blogger.com and then sign in using your gmail account and password in the right hand side and you will get a screen like this as shown below.

Now quickly, go to new blog and create a new blog by entering a title and a domain name for your blog as shown again.

Now once you clicked on Create Blog button ! You have registered a new blog for yourself and you are ready to publish your first article (In blogging, its called POSTS….)

Click on the start blogging button shown to you in the next screen and you will get something similar to this screen as shown below. Please click on this image to enlarge it.

This image will get you through every basic instruction and tools given to you for blogging. Now once you have written something, its time to see the right hand side of the article box.

Labels :

Labels are a set of keywords you have to insert in this field. Like you did in Google.com You want something like “Download this movie songs” then this is called basically a keyword. Keywords are those words which you and other people often use to search something.

Therefore, it is obvious that writing an engaging and interesting blog post is a hard nut to crack. You need to have devotion and should have a positive knack for learning something new otherwise, you will find it really hard to write something interesting and truly engaging. Define What You Are Supposed To Write:

You should not go on writing a 5000 words article. People these days do not have that much time to go through long posts. However, if you are in no mood to interrupt the flow, you can write a long article (really long) but make sure you are posting it in a series like Part I, Part II etc. This will help visitors go through the posts with full attention and as a writer, you will be able to present each part in a more consumable format. Make sure the article seems real. That means, you should not write anything like – how to lose weight in 7 days because people are smart these days and therefore, no one will be buying your theory. The article should be relevant and should bear every semblance of a great and real post.

Give Real Suggestion

People do not like to have ideas that have little or no connection with the reality. For say, you should not suggest anyone to read the complete history of Rome to be able to write a thesis paper on a topic. Your suggestion should be realistic and should be useful at the same time otherwise people would not care to revisit your blog.

Do Not Target Everyone:

Targeting a boarder audience is a bit risky while writing a blog post simply because you cannot make everyone happy with a single post. If you write for a niche audience, you will be able to concentrate more and can come with a tight and well-written article that will make people happy and feel satisfied rather than frustrating all of them. It is good to get appreciated by a small group of people for your write-up than being criticized by all.

Have Your Resource Ready:

Before you start writing, you need to make sure that you have all the resource you need to write an article. Comments, citation, ref URLs are some resources that you need to have before you start writing. It is bad idea to look for resource when you are writing. It will distract your attention and will waste a considerable amount of time.

Nice Headline:

Your headline should be as attractive as possible. It should short, to-the-point and at the same time informative. You can use direct approach in the headline as well like – “Do you make these mistakes?”, “Are you a victim of this vice?” etc. and make it a point to read popular blogs of others as they will refresh your brain with new and creative ideas and keep you productive in thick and thin.
