The unknown member of XDA forums has updated the X-bean ROM which brings android 4.1.2 Jellybean features along with the most popular custom ROM CyanogenMod 10 and AOSP as well.

According to the Forum news, this version of X-bean ROM has successfully fixed the Wi-Fi connectivity issue but still not  be able to fix the task manager bug.

Note : Please don’t use it on any other phone or model except the Samsung Galaxy S GT-i9000.

Things to Remember

• Make a backup of your apps, data, contacts and everything you consider important using contacts backup, titanium backup apps.
• Make sure that your phone is charged fully.
• Please disable all antivirus softwares from your phone as well as block firewall from your PC or MAC.
• Make sure you have the ClockworkMod Recovery installed on your phone.

 How to Install X-bean ROM on Samsung Galaxy S GT-i9000

Step 1 : Download the Required Files from below :-

1. X-Bean v3.0 (link)
2. Landscape Fix (link)

Step 2 : Now copy both the downloaded files on to your SD card storage using your standard data cable.

Step 3 : Now Restart your phone in the ClockworkMod Recovery. To do so,

Press and Hold the Volume Up, Home and Power key till the screen turns on again. To move around the menu you can use the Volume Up and Down keys while to select the option you need to press the Power button.

Step 4 : Now Select the Wipe data/Factory Reset your phone.

Step 5 : In the next step, choose ‘Advanced’ from the menu and then select ‘Wipe Dalvik cache’ and select for the process to continue.

Step 6 : From the main menu select ‘Install ZIP from SD Card’ >‘Choose ZIP from SD Card’. Locate the fileX-Bean 3.0.zip and flash/install it onto your device.

Step 7 : Flash the landscape_fix.zip file in the same manner as done with the X-Bean package. Allow the process to complete.

Step 8 : Once done, return to the main menu by selecting ‘Go Back’. From there, select ‘Reboot system now’.

Things to Remember

How to Install CleanROM 5.0 on Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3 SCH-i535

Step 1 : First of all, Download CleanROM 5.0 (link).

Step 2 : Now copy the downloaded ROM to your SD Card storage by using your standard data cable.

Step 3 : Now switch OFF your Samsung Galaxy S3 and boot in in the custom recovery (ClockworkRecovery MOD).

To boot your phone is custom recovery, Press and Hold the Volume and Power keys together until the screen turns on. Here you can scroll with the Volume keys and select an option with the Power key.

Step 4 : Now make a Nandroid backup of the existing ROM by selecting the options on your Custom Recovery Screen.

Select “Backup and Restore”  > “Backup”

Step 5 : Now you need to Wipe data/ Factory Reset your phone.

Step 6 : Now once you done upto step 5, its turn to install the new ROM from your SD Card. To do so :-

Go for the option ‘install ZIP from SD card > choose ZIP from SD card. Search the ROM and select it to confirm the action. Select the features you want to install when the AROMA installer pops up.

Step 7 : Now select ‘Go Back’ > ‘Reboot system Now’ and the device is going to reboot into the new ROM.

CyanogenMod is the most Popular android ROM and now has been released for the Samsung Galaxy S III GT i9300. As of course this time too, the News came from the XDA-developers forums. One of the hacker over there has successfully installed the working CM9 ROM on Galaxy S III.

Galaxy S III Features Overview

Samsung Galaxy S3 is yet another big hit from the best selling android smart phones company, Samsung. This Galaxy S3 was one of the most anticipated smart phone of the year 2012 and another piece of good news is that the Samsung Galaxy S3 can now be rooted easily, a developer over at XDA-forums has made this possible. The Samsung Galaxy S3 is a bar shaped phone with a 4.8″ inches Super-AMOLED Touchscreen and a 1.4 GHZ processor, that comes with a price tag of Rs. 38,000.

Install CM9 ROM on Samsung Galaxy S III 

Step 1: First of all you need to Root your Galaxy S III and then you have to flash the ClockworkMod Recovery to it.

Step 2: Download the latest nightly build of CM9 [CM Downloads] and Google Apps for CM9 [Goo.im]. Transfer both to directly under /SD card on your Galaxy S III.

Step 3: Now you need to Shut down your device. Boot into ClockworkMod Recovery by holding the Volume Up + Home + Power buttons and then Take a nandroid backup. This will come handy later on if you wish to revert back to the previous setup.

Step 4: Now Navigate to install zip from SD card > choose a zip from SD card > [CM9 .Zip file you downloaded in Step 2] and in a similar manner, you must flash Google Apps.

Step 7: Now from the ClockworkMod’s main menu, perform wipe data / factory reset.

Step 8: Choose reboot system now from the main menu.

If you followed the steps correctly, your device will now boot into CyanogenMod 9 based on Android 4.0.4 ICS. The developer advises not to reinstall apps using Titanium Backup. Also, if your WI-Fi doesn’t work, remove .cid.info from /data using a root-ready file explorer (e.g. ES File Explorer).
