Prime Requisites :
- Take Backup of your Android device contacts, your apps and your accounts associated with it.
- Make sure Your Android device is atleast 50% charged so that it can’t get switched off.
- Make sure that data cable is properly connected.
- Disable Anti virus and other tools in your computer.
How To Download And Install ICS ROM For Motorola Xoom WiFi:
Step 1: Before proceeding to step, your device should be rooted and custom recovery installed on it.
Step 2: Download ICS ROM from here and also Google Apps from here to your computer.
Step 3: Then connect the device using USB data cable and copy the two files into the root directory of your phone.
Step 4: Then disconnect the phone, turn off the phone and enter into recovery mode.
Step 5: The recovery mode can be entered by when the Motorola Dual core boot screen appears tap Volume Down repeatedly until “Android Recovery” is displayed. Press the Volume Up to enter into recovery.
Step 6: Make A Nandroid Backup. To make Nandroid backup, select the Backup And Restore> Nandroid Backup.
Step 7: In recovery menu, select “ Wipe data/factory reset” and “Wipe Cache partition”.
Step 8: Navigate to “Install zip from sd card” and then select “ Choose Zip from sd card” to select the ICS ROM file which you have placed in your phone.
Step 9: Once the ROM is flashed, flash the Google Apps package in same manner.
Step 10: Once the flashing is complete, reboot the device.
