MIUI 4 ROM is a Chinese based ROM which has been arrived now for Nexus S 4G. Now the users of Samsung Nexus S 4G can taste the flavour of Ice Cream Sandwich. This ROM is developed by XDA Developer Forum Member fergie716 from the Brainmaster MIUI ROM. It comes with an perceptive notification bar, themes and more.
Please Note: that it is not an official update and has to be flashed using Recovery mode. Please for beginners, stay away from these kind of procedures as it will cause even brick off your mobile phone. You should be experience and knowledge about the ROMs, CWM and Recovery mode. At last, I would say that if something goes wrong we are not responsible so proceed at your own risk.
Note: This ROM is only compatible with Nexus S 4G, do not try to flash it on any other devices as it could damage your device. You can check the firmware version in Settings > About Phone. It should be SPH-D720 for this procedure, if it is not SPH-D720 please do not try this ROM.
Prime Requisites :
- A Rooted Nexus S 4G along with Clockworkmod Recovery should be installed on your device.
- Nexus S 4G Drivers installed in your computer.
- Take Backup of your Android phone contacts, your apps and your accounts associated with it.
- Make sure Your Android phone is atleast 50% charged so that it can’t get switched off during the procedure.
- Enable USB Debugging mode on your device, You can do this ( Settings> Applications> Development)
How To Install MIUI 4 ICS Brainmaster ROM On Nexus S 4G:
Step 1: Download MIUI 4 ICS ROM from here below link :

Step 2: After downloaded, it will have two files (2.2.10_MIUI_BRAINMASTER_NEXUS_S_4G.zip and BRAINMASTER_FIXES.zip). Then connect the device via USB data cable and copy all the files to your phone SD card.
Step 3: After copying, disconnect the device from computer, turn off the phone and enter into Clockworkmod recovery. The recovery mode can be entered by pressing and holding Volume Up + Power button.
Step 4: In CWM recovery screen, Select “Wipe Data/Factory reset, then select “ Wipe Cache” and after that go to Advanced option, select “Wipe Dalvik Cache”.
Step 5: Navigate to “Install zip from sd card” and then select “ Choose Zip from sd card” to select the ICS ROM file (2.2.10_MIUI_BRAINMASTER_NEXUS_S_4G.zip) which you have placed in your phone.
Step 6: Once the ROM is flashed, select Go Back and choose “Reboot System Now” option to reboot your device.
Step 7: Once the phone boots, if you see “Force Close Errors” you just simply turn off the phone and boot into recovery. The recovery mode can be entered by pressing and holding Volume Up + Power button.
Step 8: Navigate to “Install zip from sd card” and then select “ Choose Zip from sd card” to select the file (BRAINMASTER_FIXES.zip) which you have placed in your phone.
Step 9: After installation, select Go Back and choose “Reboot System Now” option to reboot your device.
