The HTC Explorer runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system and it is powered by 600 MHZ Cortex A5 CPU, Adreno 220 GPU and Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 MSM7225A chipset. The HTC Explorer comes with 3.2 inches TFT capacitive touchscreen display with the resolution of 320×480 pixels, support 256K colors and pixel density that is 180ppi.

The phone packs with 3.15 megapixel rear camera and no secondary camera. Other features are touch sensitive controls, HTC Sense UI 3.5, 90 MB storage, 512 MB RAM, 512 MB ROM, microSD card slot upto 32 GB, GPRS, EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi hotspot, bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP and EDR, microUSB 2.0, A-GPS support and SNS integration.The HTC Explorer has the battery life upto 1230 mAh battery.

Why You should Root Your Android Phone ?

Prime Requisites :

  • Take Backup of your Android phone contacts, your apps and your accounts associated with it.
  • Make sure Your Android phone is atleast 50% charged so that it can’t get switched off during the rooting procedure.
  • Make sure that data cable is properly connected.
  • Disable Anti virus and other tools in your computer.

How To To Root HTC Explorer

Step 1: Before proceeding the step, you need to first unlock the boot loader in your HTC Explorer smartphone from the Official HTC boot loader page by simply following on screen intructions.

Step 2: Next, you need to add recovery to your phone so that you can install all the custom ROM firmwares in your phone for which you need to download A310E Recovery Zip from here to your computer.

Step 3: Enable USB Debugging mode on your device, You can do this

Settings> Applications> Development

Step 4: Then connect the device using USB data cable and extract the zip file which you have downloaded in your computer.

Step 5: Open the recovery bat file which will be there in unzipped file while the device is connected. Also download HTC Sync in your computer so that all the drivers are installed successfully.

Step 6: After this, download SuperUser Zip file from here to your computer and copy the same in your phone.

Step 7: Then disconnect the device from computer and turn off the phone and enter into recovery mode.

Step 8: The recovery mode can be entered by pressing Volume Up key + OK button, and holding both simultaneously press the Power button. Please note that if device boots up in normal mode, you need to try again entering into recovery mode.

Step 9: In recovery mode, Navigate to “Install zip from sd card” and then select “ Choose Zip from sd card” and then choose the Superuser zip file which you have placed in your phone.

Step 10: It will take 10 minutes for updating this whole process.

Step 11: Once updated successfully, the device will be landing up in recovery mode screen. Now select “Reboot System Now” option to restart the device.

        Tell me one thing dude had one small doubt before I do this the super user zip file is it going ko install a custom ROM or will it bust root the original operating system that I have installed on my phone by default …..had this doubt as I want to keep the default 2.3.5 android gingerbread that I have on my phone .please reply as soon as possible waiting to root my phone you can mail me too at harshal.n.karandikar@gmail.com

          You can only root your HTC explorer with this tutorial, and this tutorial will work only when you have already unlocked your HTC device.

    you must folow the stpes on htcdev.com

    then you get a key which they must be enteredin the htc site en thats all

      Maybe because you have not unlock your boot loader from here..follow the instructions and read everything..I am experimenting it right now and I am downloading the SDK which you and I are required to do so..and not explicitly mentioned in steps no 1.

    Hey dude the articale seems to be helpfull but honestly speaking tell me when i use the superuser.zip in the recovery mode will it modify or erase the orignal 2.3.5 androud that i have or will it just root it????? PLZ REPLY ASAP WAITING TO ROOT MY. EXPLORER
