Thanks for this great post, have been planning to do the same thing but didn’t know how.
Followed the exact steps, got stuck at step 7. DId the following:
,
1. Checked “One Package”
2. Clicked OPS to browse for OPS file
3. Selected “BENI_v1.0.ops” and clicked Start.
4. Getting the “Check image file” error.. Its not letting me select the .md5 file. file size of BENI_v1.0.ops is 1KB while that of .md5 is 234MB.
Any suggestions on how to fix this. I am using a Windows 7 64-bit system, could that be a problem.. Personally i don’t think it has any impact.
For recovery mode, volume down need not be pressed. After the final reboot, the wallpaper change t one that I didn’t have before (probably this one is the default for 2.3.6)d, OS is Android 2.3.6
It never asked me for my Google credentials (good), and all my data is intact (very good), contacts, apps everything. I was under the impression that upgrading firmware wiped the phone.
Thanks a lot Manu !
