How To Update Samsung Galaxy S GT I9000 With Amestris Custom ROM Firmware:

Step 1: Download Amestris 7.1 ROM from here to your computer.

Step 2: After downloaded, Connect the phone using USB data cable and copy the ROM file to your phone.

Step 3: Enable USB Debugging mode on your device, You can do this

Settings> Applications> Development

Step 4: Then disconnect the phone, turn off the phone and enter into recovery mode.

Step 5: The recovery mode can be entered by pressing Volume Up + OK button and holding both simultaneously press the Power button.

Step 6: In recovery mode, Navigate to “Install zip from sd card” and then select “ Choose Zip from sd card” to select the ROM file which you have placed in your phone.

Step 7: Once the update is successfully, it will back to recovery mode screen. In recovery mode screen, select Go Back and select “reboot system now” for rebooting.

Step 8: Check your firmware version by going to Settings> About Phone> Firmware version and you will find the version of Amestris ROM firmware. If not applied, repeat the process again.
